About Us
Edgar's, "The Happy Fisherman" is a friendly, family owned business that was one of the first established on Black Lake. It has been owned and operated by the same family since 1918 with some of our customers now being the fourth generation.
Stop in for a week or a few days to enjoy some excellent bass, pike, walleye and crappie fishing. Our guests are always welcome at our evening campfires for "weenie roasts" or "smores". Or just sit and enjoy the stars and watch the moon rise across the bay.
All camps are heated and have air conditioning with screened porches. Cabin 1 has an enclosed porch. They have furnished kitchens with refrigerator, coffee pot, stove and microwave. Bathrooms have showers. There are double beds with rollaway beds available. Bring your own linens and towels. Picnic tables with covers are available with grills. Firewood for campfires furnished at no extra charge. Fish cleaning area.

The Happy Fisherman is located on the shore of Black Lake just five miles from Hammond on the Black Lake Road. An excellent state boat launch, a grocery store, gas, bait and tackle, several restaurants, Bella Brook Winery, Black Lake museum, golf and mini golf are minutes away.
Pets are always welcome but must be leashed and under control at all times.

$150 non refundable deposit per cabin due at time of reservation. $150 per week cancellation fee. Balance due seven days prior to arrival.
